Tips for Any Itinerary
- Book tours 2-4 weeks ahead. Popular tours sell out.
- Plan around your tour times. Tours run on a schedule; everything else is flexible.
- Don't overbook. One cave tour per day is plenty for most people.
- Bring layers. Cave (54°F) to surface (80°F+ in summer) means constant wardrobe changes.
- Eat before or after tours. No food in the cave, and you'll be underground for 1.5-6 hours.
- Stay close. Our properties are 5-10 minutes from the entrance. That proximity matters when you're fitting in multiple activities.
Seasonal Adjustments
- Summer: Start early (tours fill up, surface gets hot by noon). Book everything in advance.
- Fall: Perfect weather, moderate crowds, fall colors on trails. Best overall season.
- Winter: Fewer crowds, some tour reductions, but cave is always 54°F. Great for introverts.
- Spring: Wildflowers, good water levels for kayaking, moderate crowds. Second-best season.
Book your stay and make it happen.
